Karen Pearce is a Chartered Physiotherapist working in Penarth and Cardiff with over 20 years experience in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal and sports injuries.

Karen worked with the Scottish and Great Britain Women's Hockey Team for 14 years including qualification for and participation in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.  Karen has worked at various ATP tennis tournaments in Scotland and Wales and has provided cover at Athletics, Gymnastic and cycling events.

Karen uses a mixture of 'hands on' manual therapy techniques, electrotherapy and exercise and encourages her patients to take an active part in their rehabilitation programme and prevention of recurrences.  Early intervention has been shown to reduce recovery time and allow a quicker return to normal activity and sport.

Injuries commonly treated include:-

Karen is a Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, Physiofirst and is Registered with the Health Professions Council.  She has a further qualification in Orthopaedic Medicine and is also a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine.
