Reflexology is a form of natural, holistic therapy based on the discovery that there are points (reflexes) on the feet, hands, face and ears that correspond to the organs, systems and structures found within the body.There are many well documented early forms of foot care, the most widely known being that of pictograms found on the tomb of the eminent Egyptian court physician Ankmahor. It consists of 6 pictograms one of which shows reflexology being performed. There are also various ancient texts and artefacts that chart health foot care found in India, China, Japan and Europe. 

Reflexology is a complementary therapy which, by working on the feet can stimulate and encourage the body’s own innate healing response. It helps heal the whole person and not just prevailing symptoms.

It is suitable for all ages and most chronic conditions and with ever increasing levels of stress, it is very important that we take more responsibility for our own health care needs. Reflexology is a fantastic therapy which enables us to cope with day to day life on a physical, mental and emotional level, it encourages us to heal and maintain health in all areas of our lives.
