Reiki (pronounced ray-kee) is a Japanese technique used to heal many chronic illnesses and diseases that affect us all on a day to day basis. It was discovered by Dr Mikao Usui in the early 1900’s.

Reiki is a healing system that has been used and taught in the West since the late 1930’s and until the early 1990’s the story of how Reiki was discovered was an oral history passed down from Teacher to Student in a very traditional way.

The word Reiki can be translated as Universal Life-force Energy, or God-directed Life-force Energy or Spiritual Energy. The word is divided into two parts:  
Rei – Wisdom and Knowledge of the Universe.
Ki – Life Force Energy.

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive hands-on healing technique that uses Universal Energy to treat physical ailments without using pressure, manipulation or massage. 

It is considered to me much more that a physical therapy, but is a holistic therapy used to balance, heal and harmonise all aspects of the person, the body, mind, emotions and spirit.
Reiki heals by channelling Universal Energy through the seven main Chakra points on a persons’ body, (Sanskrit for wheel or vortex). We are alive because life energy (Ki) flows within us through pathways called Chakras, free and balanced flow of Ki is the cause of good health, it nourishes our organs and tissues as it flows through them, however when the flow of Ki is disrupted, illness can follow.  Ki is also responsive to thoughts and feelings, when we are positive and optimistic we feel better.

Treatments cost £35 for a 1 Hour Treatment, £25 for ½ Hour Treatments. Both prices include the initial consultation.
